César Manrique was a painter, sculptor and artist from the island of Lanzarote who combined his work with the defence of the environmental values of the Canary Islands. Los Jameos del Agua is one of the most emblematic areas of the island of Lanzarote, located in the north in the municipality of Haría. A jameo is a geological formation produced by the collapse of a volcanic lava tube, and three of them originated with the Corona Volcano, giving rise to what is known as Jameos del Agua.
