General my Barceló Conditions
my Barceló is Barceló Hotel Group's international loyalty program, open and free of charge, which is aimed at rewarding the loyalty of private and independent clients who book on Barcelo.com and through our Customer Service. It provides high-value benefits, content, and communications that will enhance the Barceló guest experience before, during, and after your stay.
Accessing the my Barceló Program and carrying out operations through the Barcelo.com website and the Barceló Hotel Group telephone reservation service implies acceptance of the following conditions:
- Accepting the Barceló Hotel Group website privacy policy.
- In order to restrict access to the confidential information relating to your my Barceló Program account on barcelo.com, and to ensure that it can only be revealed with the consent of the owner, you will be required to introduce your personal data (first name, last name, telephone, date of birth, address of residence) a unique and personal e-mail address, and a password.
- In case you forget your password, you can ask for it to be resent to the user e-mail address indicated. In order to do so you must access the www.barcelo.com website, enter the my Barceló area and click on the option: "Have you forgotten your email or password?"
- The my Barceló member will be responsible for the safekeeping of the chosen password. Barceló Hotel Group will not be held responsible for the consequences of potential illegal use of the member's password by a third party.
The my Barceló Program is based on customers obtaining exclusive advantages by registering for the program and making reservations through Barcelo.com and/or our Customer Service, and then identifying themselves as a my Barceló member.
The beneficiaries of the my Barceló Program (hereinafter the "Holder") are individuals of legal age (identified by their personal data) registered in the my Barceló Program through the website www.barcelo.com or the Barceló Customer Service.
To benefit from the exclusive advantages of my Barceló, it is necessary that the account holder is the one who makes the reservation after logging into my Barceló.
In the event that Barceló Hotel Group detects that a legal entity is the owner of a My Barceló account and that reservations have been made through this account for third parties, Barceló Hotel Group reserves the right to apply the rate without the discount and to terminate its participation in the My Barceló Program, in accordance with point 2 of section '9. Modifications to the general conditions.
We would like to inform you that to obtain the best conditions and benefits as a company or organization, you have at your disposal our portal for professionals,www.barcelopro.com.
Reservations made by people other than the Holder will not accrue points on the Holder's my Barceló account.
The My Barceló customer, as the primary reservation holder and guest during the respective stay, is the only person who can benefit from the exclusive benefits of the program and to whom all communications will be addressed. In the event of a multi-room reservation, the benefits will apply exclusively to the room in which the My Barceló Member is staying and will not be applied to the other rooms included in the reservation.
All reservation invoices will be paid with the credit card included in the reservation process. If there is no advanced payment, the balance payment will be required from the customer when they arrive at the hotel.
An invoice will not be issued in the name of companies for bookings made by a myBarceló holder, in order to issue a company invoice the booking must be made via BarcelóPro.
Each client who participates in the my Barceló Program will be able to access a private area within Barcelo.com where the corresponding reservations made on Barceló.com and our Customer Service within the last 3 years will be reflected:
1. The account will always be active as long as the customer does not decide to unsubscribe from the program.
2. The customer may, at any time, voluntarily request and receive cancellation of their account within the personalized area.
3. The points earned via a member's bookings may not be transferred to the account of another customer.
4. No change of holders is allowed.
Reservations begin to be counted to the my Barceló account once the client has registered in the Program.
For reservations to automatically accumulate points and for my Barceló benefits to be applied, they must be made by the my Barceló account Holder through Barcelo.com and/or Customer Service,after login or identification in my Barceló, after enjoying the respective stay (day after check out) in a period of 24 months from March 26, 2015 (all reservations prior to this date will not be counted for the calculation of level).
If a reservation has been generated without previous login or identification in my Barceló, the my Barceló benefits will not be applied during the stay and it will not be automatically taken into account in the Program account for level calculation. Even so, the registered client can import the reservation to his/her my Barceló account from , taking into account the following specifications:
- Only reservations made on Barceló.com and the Barceló Customer Service with check-out in the past 12 months.
- The reservation must belong to a hotel in the current Barceló Hotel Group portfolio.
- The email address of the reservation Holder must be the same as the email address of the Holder of the my Barceló account to which you wish to import.
- Flight plus hotel package reservations and those made on other websites, travel agencies or means other than Barceló.com and the Barceló Customer Service cannot be imported to your my Barceló account.
· Considerations with respect to reservations booked in the my Barceló account:
- In case of two or more reservations with consecutive dates in the same hotel (check out of one reservation = check in of the next), only one reservation will be taken into account. However, the total amount spent at the cumulative amount counter level in the Program will be taken into account.
- In case of making two or more reservations under the Holder's account with the same date in the same hotel, only one reservation will be taken into account. However, the total amount spent at the cumulative amount counter level in the Program will be taken into account.
- In case of making two or more reservations under the Holder's account with coinciding days in different hotels, only 1 reservation will be taken into account at the level of the stay counter in the Program. However, the total amount spent at the cumulative amount counter level in the Program will be taken into account.
Barceló Hotel Group will periodically send all my Barceló members exclusive personalized offers with periodic conditions in force.
There are currently 3 levels in the My Barceló program (introduced July 2, 2015):
- My Barceló: this is the base level that applies to a member after registering at My Barceló and applies during their first and second reservation made through Barcelo.com and/or our Customer Service. After the second stay is completed within a period of 24 months, the my Barceló customer is upgraded one level to my Barceló Intense. A minimum amount of $600 must be spent in order to upgrade to my Barceló Intense.
- my Barceló Intense: this is the intermediate level that applies to a my Barceló customer after the second stay has been completed within a 24-month period (with a minimum expenditure of $600) and and applies during their third and fourth booking on Barcelo.com and/or our Customer Service. After the fourth stay is completed within a period of 24 months, the my Barceló Intense customer is upgraded one level to my Barceló Unique. A minimum amount of €$2,000 must be spent in order to upgrade from Intense to Unique.
- my Barceló Unique: this is the highest level that applies to a My Barceló client after the 4th stay has been completed within a period of 24 months (with a minimum accumulated expenditure of €2,000) and remains through the fifth reservation made via Barcelo.com and/or our Customer Service.
The my Barceló level is calculated based on the stays completed for reservations made at Barcelo.com and/or our Customer Service, and which have been accumulated within a period of 24 months* from March 26, 2015 (all reservations prior to this date are not counted towards level calculations)
The minimum spend applies as an additional and required criteria applied towards the level increase from this same date.
As of July 2, 2015, Barceló Hotel Group offers my Barceló members, based on their level within the program, a recently published rewards scheme that provides a complete set of advantages with additional benefits.

The benefits corresponding to the my Barceló level are automatically applied in step 2 of the booking process on Barcelo.com as long as the reservation is made by logging in to the my Barceló area. Only one my Barceló benefits package will be applied per stay, regardless of the number of rooms in the booking. The benefits only apply to the room in which the my Barceló account owner is staying.
Application of the benefits:
In order to enjoy the my Barceló discount on Barcelo.com reservations (discount for accumulation of stays) and the my Barceló benefits during the stay, it is necessary to log in to the my Barceló area in step 1 (room selection) during the Barcelo.com reservation process or identify yourself as a my Barceló client in the event that the reservation is made through our Customer Service. If the booking is made via Barcelo, the benefits corresponding to the Holder's my Barceló level will be automatically applied in step 2 of the Barcelo.com booking process, as long as the reservation is made by logging in to the my Barceló area. Only one my Barceló benefits package will be applied per stay, regardless of the number of rooms in the booking. The benefits only apply to the room in which the my Barceló account owner is staying.
As a consequence of the health situation generated by COVID-19, Barceló Hotel Group has adapted its operations based on the recommendations of the health authorities, and some of the benefits of the my Barceló loyalty program may be altered during your stay. If we are unable to offer you any of the services, we will do our best to offer you an alternative benefit, subject to availability.
Specifications of some my Barceló benefits (limitations)
- Best Price Guaranteed: To apply the guarantee, the difference must occur between reservations from the same hotel. For example: same hotel, same room type, same package, same dates, same number of guests, same currency, same price restrictions, for the entire stay, fees, taxes, management fees and other costs arising from the service that the other websites impose on the reservation. This difference must be submitted within 24 hours of your purchase on www.barcelo.com, in the help area of Barcelo.com.
- Special requests: When booking on Barcelo.com (always subject to availability) Minimum of 48 hours notice prior to the request. Currency exchange, requests for medication or medical assistance, shuttle services, non-accessible culinary products, upgrades, and other paid services offered by the hotel that are not listed are not considered as special requests.
- Pre check-in online: does not eliminate the client identification process (providing ID documentation and collection of room key), which the hotel must carry out.
- Preferential check-in and check-out: there is a my Barceló reception desk depending on availability in the hotel, and guests must still provide ID for identification purposes.
- Printing services for personal documents: limited to documents for personal use (boarding pass, maps, passport, or ID document) with a maximum of 5 copies per person per stay.
- Early check-in: subject to availability, does not include a free extension of your accommodation package, and in Latin America/Caribbean requires you to notify the hotel at least 48 hours in advance.
- Late check-out: subject to availability, does not include a free extension of your accommodation package.
- Special conditions for hotel experiences: Not applicable for Barceló Experiences: https://www.barcelo.com/tourism-guide/en-us/. Only applicable at hotels with paid experiences available to guests. Discounts do not apply to activities previously booked with the reservation. For Barceló Vacations activities, the maximum discount is 10%. Discounts cannot be combined with other offers and promotions outside the program. Cannot be used in conjunction with resort credit in LATAM.
- Special terms and conditions for meeting rooms: only for clients staying at the hotel who have booked a meeting room. Does not apply to vacation hotels and resorts in Latin America and the Caribbean.
1. Business coffee break: a maximum of one complimentary coffee service per stay for up to 5 people which consists of coffee, tea, and pastries of the hotel's choosing.
2. Complimentary audiovisual equipment: basic equipment available at the hotel.
3. Discount on meeting room rentals: only applicable for meeting rooms with a maximum capacity of 10-12 people. Does not guarantee the availability of rooms with the desired characteristics.
4. Printing service for professional documents: limited to 150 black and white copies maximum, and only guaranteed free of charge with 24 hours notice.
- Welcome Minibar: limited to hotels with an in-room minibar. Does not include spirits (drinks) nor restocking. New: Due to the new protocols implemented as a result of COVID-19, it is necessary that the client expressly requests this benefit at the reception desk.
- Booking flexibility: Modify the dates of your booking with a non-refundable rate through our Customer Service. This benefit is exclusive to customers in the Intense and Unique my Barceló levels. Modifications are applicable at least 7 days prior to check-in of the reservation and the new date of check-in must be at least 10 days after the time the change is made. Once the reservation is modified, it will remain non-refundable. In addition, the price, promotions, restrictions and availability at the time of the request by the customer will be updated. If the new total is lower, the price of the original reservation will be maintained. However, the hotel may authorize the refund of the difference or use the difference for consumption in hotel services.
- Barceló Voucher: For customers belonging to the My Barceló loyalty program with Unique or Intense Status, if for any reason you are unable to travel and do not have a new date in mind, Barceló offers a Credit Voucher that can be used in the same hotel or any other hotel of the Barceló group in Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa. You can request this by following this link: https://www.barcelo.com/en-us/help/ - I want to modify or cancel my reservation at least 7 days before the check-in date and up to 24 hours before if it is with proof of force majeure.
- The advantages of the my Barceló Program are not available for Flight + Hotel packages, nor in the Cuba hotels and Hotel Novo Resort The Residence Luxury Apartments by Barceló Sancti Petri.
- Up to 20% exclusive discount for my Barceló clients on extra services during their stay at hotels in the EMEA region (10% for my Barceló Basic and 20% for my Barceló Intense and Unique); also applies to consumption in bars and restaurants without staying at the hotel. For hotels in the LATAM region, a Resort Discount is applied with a minimum of 10% discount exclusively for my Barceló customers on extra services operated by the hotel during the stay. Check with the hotel about the services available to apply the discount.
Discounts on extras at the Asia Gardens Hotel & Thai Spa only apply to some services such as "mini dinners", "personal trainer" or second refill at the minibar.
- Up to 10% discount on Barceló Vacation Experiences (check with the hotel for available services to apply the discount.) Not applicable on Barceló Experiences: https://www.barcelo.com/guia-turismo/es/ Cannot be used in conjunction with resort credit in LATAM.
my Barceló, as the Barceló Hotel Group's international loyalty program, applies to all Barceló Hotel Group hotels in Europe, Latin America/Caribbean and Africa, except Novo Resort The Residence Luxury Apartments by Barceló (Cádiz, Spain), Cuba (Caribbean) and hotels affiliated with the Dorint chain. The my Barceló benefits do not apply to reservations made at these hotels, nor do these reservations accumulate in the Holder's my Barceló account for purposes of calculating the Program level.
Although the my Barceló benefits are global, they may be subject to minor adaptations and/or customization, as well as exceptions in how they are applied depending on the circumstances of each hotel.
1. Barceló Hotel Group reserves the right to modify, partially or totally, the current General Conditions. The customer can access their updated benefits at any time on this page.

2. Barceló Hotel Group may terminate the participation of a My Barceló Program Member immediately when the member breaches these General Terms and Conditions or when fraudulent use of the account is detected. It is considered a fraudulent use of the account to make reservations under the account of a My Barceló Member for other people who are not Members so that they may benefit from the conditions of the Program without the Member themselves staying in these rooms. In addition, if a non-Member shows up at the hotel, Barceló Hotel Group reserves the right to apply the rate without the discount applied for belonging to the program.
3. Barceló Hotel Group reserves the right to periodically evaluate the activity and commitment of Members in the my Barceló Program. In the event that a customer has not made a reservation for a continuous period of 24 months, this may result in a downgrade to the next lower level. Before the downgrading, the Member will be informed, allowing them to reactivate their commitment to the program.
4. The Member can change their personal data or unsubscribe from the Program from the private area of my Barceló at Barcelo.com. You can also unsubscribe from communications by using the link provided for this specific purpose in the newsletters sent from Barcelo Hotel Group.
5. Barceló Hotel Group reserves the right to modify or cancel, in whole or in part, and without prior notice, these Special Conditions or any other aspect related to the program or the Members' participation in it.
