Swimming Pools 

The Barceló Santo Domingo Hotel features 2 magnificent outdoor pools,  as well as a hydromassage bathtub that is perfect for relaxing after a long day of sightseeing. 

It also features an area with sun loungers and an excellent bar with domestic and imported drinks. Its location on the rooftop allows you to enjoy impressive views of the city.

·Santo Domingo Colonial Tour | Half Day | Minimum of 2 people required. A visit to the place where everything began in the Americas! See the Santa María La Menor Cathedral, Las Damas Street and the Alcázar de Colón, then finish with a tour through the Colonial area, which contains the historical and cultural sites where the “New World” began. Relive the sensations of the 16th Century and present-day citizens as they stroll through its streets.

·Panoramic Santo Domingo City Tour | Half Day | Minimum of 2 people required. A carefully planned excursion to highlight the most important points of the city of Santo Domingo. This route, aboard a comfortable vehicle, will allow you to see everything from the museums and architecture of the colonial town to the beautiful buildings of the modern city. We will make a stop at a large shopping center in the heart of the city.

·Santo Domingo Night Tour | Available Only on Thursdays | Minimum of 3 people required. Discover why Dominicans always have a smile on their face. Come and join this ongoing celebration with us by visiting one of the most authentic restaurants in the city, where you’ll enjoy a local culinary celebration and a typical dance show.

·Altos de Chavón & Las Maravillas Caves | Minimum of 5 people required. Our first visit will be to the Las Maravillas Cave, the first natural museum dedicated to cave paintings in the Antilles—a place of great archeological value. We will continue toward the Altos de Chavón, a living replica of a Mediterranean village from the 15th century, with impressive views of the Chavón River. It is a magical and picturesque place with the most important school of arts in the country, restaurants, a museum and a beautiful amphitheater. Lunch is included in a restaurant in Altos de Chavón.

·Isla Saona | Full day | Minimum 2 people required. Experience the unique sensation of traversing the blue waters of the Caribbean Sea on a speedboat and enjoy the transparent waters of La Piscina Natural. ISLA SAONA forms part of the Parque Nacional del Este, a nature reserve filled with indigenous flora and fauna. In a grandiose CATAMARAN and to the rhythm of vitamina and merengue you will experience a full day of excitement for lovers of sailing, the sea and nature.

·Trip to Baní | Full Day | Available from Tuesday to Saturday | Minimum 3 people required. This wonderful desert trip is a blessing for ecotourists interested in feeling the hot wind across their faces during a trip under the sun. It’s like a small chunk of the Sahara in the Dominican Republic. The dunes are located in the Las Calderas Peninsula, between the towns of Matanza, Las Calderas and Salinas (Peravia province).

·Relaxation and Beach Day | Full Day | Available from Tuesday to Saturday | Minimum of 2 people required. Come and see one of the best-kept secrets of the Caribbean: our coast at Juan Dolio, 40 minutes from Santo Domingo, where you can enjoy everything that the Caribbean has to offer. Our island is made of sun, sand, palm trees, wonderful people and flavor, a visual spectacle that delights the visitor.

·Cocoa Tour | Half Day | Available from Tuesday to Sunday | Minimum of 6 people required. Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of chocolate and products derived from cocoa. This fascinating tour is led by industry experts who will guide you step by step in harvesting the world-renowned Dominican cocoa. You will learn with how to plant, harvest, cut and remove the beans from the cocoa pod, as well as the post-harvest process that includes fermentation and drying, the latter crucial steps for quality cocoa. We will then visit the La Esmeralda factory, where you will be delighted by the chocolate aromas and see the step-by-step process used to create the chocolate bars that we love so much. Surrounded by nature and cocoa, traditional music will then set the mood for a succulent Dominican-style lunch.
