Palacio Gran Vía, a Royal Hideaway Hotel occupies the emblematic space of the Rodríguez-Acosta bank, considered one of the best examples of the eclectic and modernist buildings of Granada at the beginning of the 20th century. Built in 1905, this classicist building was built coinciding with the opening of the Gran Vía de Colón, a fact that significantly changed its urban planning and for which the architectural design that prevailed at the time in the great European capitalswas taken as inspiration.

Designed by the architect Juan Monserrat Vergés, the space that this 5-star hotel in Granada occupies today has a central courtyard of lights and two facades that overlook Gran Vía de Colón and Cetti Meriem street. Originally, the building consisted of a basement floor where the safes and archives of the Bank were stored, while the mezzanine served as an operations yard.
