Chez Lumière has become the new place to be in Sancti Petri. Located in the Royal Hideaway Sancti Petri, this new gastronomic space is inspired by French brasseries and has the advice of chef Juanlu Fernández, holder of two Michelin stars and two Repsol Suns.
In addition to its privileged location next to the extensive beach of La Barrosa, Chez Lumière stands out for its careful architecture and interior design. A project signed by the architect and interior designer Jean Porsche that evokes both the charming cafés of Saint Germain and the typical courtyards of Cadiz.
Flavor, product and low heat. Chez Lumière brings together the best local raw materials on the table, an exhaustive investigation into the origin of each product and its seasonality, giving rise to a menu that fuses nouvelle cuisinewith astonishing originality with the Cadiz recipe book.
A 360º gastronomic experience accompanied by a select list of local, national and international wines that seek to exalt the personality of each dish created by Juanlu Fernández exclusively for Chez Lumière.
Chef
Born in Jerez de la Frontera in 1984, Juanlu Fernández began working at the age of 13 in a bakery with his uncle in San José del Valle (Cádiz), approaching for the first time the ingredients that would form the basis of his training. His interest in cooking and his desire to learn led him to become a disciple of Martin Berasategui years later, with whom he would work side by side until he took the reins of Aponiente as head chef.
At the age of 33, he decided to explore the possibilities of his cuisine without limitations in which he could capture his personality and the madness of his cuisine and opened LÚ, obtaining his first Michelin Star in less than a year. Since 2022, Fernández has been head chef of the Chez Lumière restaurant.
