Chez Lumière Restaurant at Royal Hideaway Sancti Petri

Chez Lumière has become the new place to be in Sancti Petri. Located in the Royal Hideaway Sancti Petri, this new culinary space is inspired by the French brasseries and is advised by chef Juanlu Fernández, holder of 2 Michelin stars and 2 Repsol Suns.

In addition to its privileged location next to the large beach of La Barrosa, Chez Lumière stands out for its exquisite architecture and interior design. The project has the signature of the architect and interior designer Jean Porsche, evoking both the charming cafés of Saint Germain and the traditional patios of Cádiz.

Flavour, product and slow cooking. Chez Lumière brings together the best local produce and an exhaustive investigation into the origin of each product and its seasonality, creating a menu that combines nouvelle cuisine with the most traditional recipes from Cádiz with an astonishing originality.

An all-rounder culinary experience, accompanied by a fine selection of local, national and international wines that seek to enhance the personality of each of the dishes that chef Juanlu Fernández has created exclusively for Chez Lumière.

Juanlu Fernández

Chef

Born in Jerez de la Frontera in 1984, Juanlu Fernández began working at the age of 13 in a bakery with his uncle in San José del Valle (Cádiz), getting in touch for the first time with the ingredients that would lay the path for his training. His interest in cooking and his desire to learn led him to become a disciple of Martin Berasategui years later, working side by side side until he took over Aponiente as head chef.

At 33, seeking to materialise his personality and creativity without limits, he decided to explore the possibilities of his cuisine and opened LÚ. Less than a year later, he was awarded his first Michelin Star. Since 2022, Fernández has been head chef at Chez Lumière.
