Behold the Teide National Park and its colours at sunset on our Sunset and Stars - Mount Teide by Night excursion which offers you the opportunity to enjoy a Mount Teide stargazing experience. Feel the excitement of watching the Teide sunset from the highest peak in Spain with the cable car at sunset and observe the Tenerife stars on Teide under one of the top-quality starry skies in the world.
You will discover all of the volcanic wonders that surround the impressive trail to the Pico Viejo viewpoint.
The trail begins on La Corbata, a whitish rock formation, and continues westwards with the amphitheatre of the Las Cañadas cirque a constant backdrop to this astounding landscape.
After the sunset and just before starting your Mount Teide stargazing experience, you will have some free time to eat. And if you don’t want to bring your own food, remember that you can book the activity with a picnic included.
Thanks to our professional state-of-the-art telescopes, which you will have at your disposal during the astronomical observation on this Sunset and Stars - Mount Teide by Night Tour, you will discover planets, galaxies and clusters as you have surely never seen before.

¿Qué debes saber antes de reservar?
- Children under 8 are not allowed to participate in this by night excursion
- Since the Sunset and Stars excursion includes a cable car ride, people with heart problems and pregnant women are not allowed to participate in it due to the risk that high altitude poses to their health
- People with health problems should consult with their doctors before taking the Sunset and Stars
- In accordance with current regulations, persons with any physical disability or motor impairment are not permitted to make the ascent by cable car, because of the potential risks if the vehicle has to be evacuated
- It is essential to bear in mind that in the event of the failure of the cable car system due to unexpected technical reasons, passengers already at the upper station will have to make their descent on foot and using steep mountain paths
- Pets are not allowed
- Access to the excursion will be denied to those who come with open footwear (sandals), shorts or short sleeves. Appropriate attire is essential given the low temperatures during the activity.
- In the event that weather conditions do not allow the operation of the Cable Car for the Sunset & Stars activity, the sunset will be enjoyed from the Chío viewpoint or from Los Roques de García and the amount of 50 euros will be refunded to adults and 30 euros to children in the case of non-residents and 16 euros to adults and 10 euros to children in the case of residents, corresponding to the ascent and descent journey. If weather conditions prevent astronomical observation, 35€ per adult and 30€ per child will be refunded in the case of non-residents and 24.50€ per adult and 21€ per child in the case of residents.
- Pick-up information will be provided at least 48 hours before the activity

- Wear warm, comfortable clothing and proper footwear.
- Due to the elevated luminosity, wear sunglasses.
- Take plenty of water on hikes.
