This unique tour will allow you to explore the city's most iconic pastry shops, discover their secrets and taste the sweets that have brought fame to the Asturian capital.
The experience begins in the central Calle Uría, one of the main arteries of the city. From here we will reach the Ovetus Pastry Shop, where you can taste from chocolates to some of the most representative specialties of Oviedo: the minicasadiella or minicarbayón.
These small delicacies, made with classic recipes, are a tribute to the flavors of the Principality.
During the tour we will contemplate some of the most emblematic monuments, such as the imposing Basilica of San Juan el Real, a jewel of religious modernism and a symbol of the architectural splendor of the city.
Afterwards, we will walk to the Pastelería Asturias, known for its “Letizias”, a sweet that pays tribute to Queen Letizia. It stands out for its exquisite taste and for uniquely representing the values of elegance and quality that characterize the region.
The next stop will be the Diego Verdú Pastry Shop, where you can taste two turronitos, small delicacies that perfectly combine flavor and texture. Ideal to enjoy on the spot or to take home as a souvenir.
During the tour, we will pass by emblematic places such as the Campoamor Theater, the Escandalera and the Plaza del Carbayón, where you will have the opportunity to immortalize your visit with a special photograph.
Before finishing, we will go through Gascona, known as the “cider boulevard”, where you will learn more details about Asturian desserts and this drink declared Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
On the historic Jovellanos Street, you will pass in front of the Camilo de Blas confectionery, and then arrive at the last stop: the legendary Rialto Confectionery. Here you will be delighted with four moscovitas, the pastries that represent the best of Oviedo's confectionery.
