About
Indoor Oasis.Guadalest enjoys a spectacular location located on top of a pinnacle carved into the mountain. Declared a Monument of Historical and Artistic Value, it is easy to see why so many tourists come to this impressive town every year. A brief guided tour will take you through the cobbled streets of this town. It will give you the impression of living a fairy tale and will allow you to enjoy spectacular views. Its original and oldest part is inside the rock. It is entered through a tunnel excavated in ancient times, in which the ruins of the castle and the unique bell tower of the church are precariously perched.
Here we will visit the "" Casa de las Orduñas "" (former lords of the valley) restored with great pleasure, before taking the spiral stairs to the ruined castle and walking through the cobbled square of the town. (Optional entry).
The many craft and souvenir shops in Guadalest will surely tempt you. You will have time to explore craft stores including pottery, lace, olive wood carvings and Lladro porcelain, to name just a few. Or visit some of its large number of small museums of all styles. The guide will inform you and manage ticket discounts if someone is interested in any of them.
During the trip, and before arriving at the municipality, we will make a stop for toilets and to invite you to a glass of Moscatel wine, produced locally, or to a freshly squeezed orange juice during a photographic stop on the hilly outskirts of Guadalest road.
