Explore Cabo de Gata - Níjar Natural Park by kayak

Enjoy aunforgettable adventure between cliffs, caves and protected landscapes. 

In this experience, we combine physical activity, such as sea kayaking, with the pleasure of enjoying and discovering, from a unique perspective, the magnificent Cabo de Gata - Níjar Natural Park.

You can visit the cliffs of the Natural Park and its caves from the sea, aboard a kayak, it's an unforgettable experience, since many places and corners can only be seen from this small boat. Kayak routes through Cabo de Gata are so special because Cabo de Gata is one of the Spanish natural areas affected by the largest number of protection figures, both natural and cultural.

These inscriptions are based on their geological, ecological, historical, anthropological and landscape richness.

The itinerary:

• Upon arrival at the meeting point, and after handing out the equipment (vest, shovel) and refreshment, the guide monitors will give you some small notions of paleo, handling and safety in sea kayaking.
• Once the tour begins, we will gradually make small spaced stops to rest and we take the opportunity to explain curiosities and geological, biological and historical characteristics of what surrounds us.
• During the tour, we will be able to enjoy the peculiar shapes that the volcanic cliff coast of Cabo de Gata gives us, we will visit navigable caves.
• Other of the most whimsical formations in the Natural Park and among which we can navigate are the volcanic reef barriers.
• A well-deserved break halfway through where we'll take a bath, a bit of snorkeling, will give us the opportunity to regain strength, hydrate and cool off for the rest of the route.

The final meeting point will be indicated by Whatsapp the day before the activity, since it depends on the weather conditions for the day of the activity (it is essential that the phone you leave us is operational). For days with an east wind it will be in La Fabriquilla or Agua Amarga. For days with westerly wind, it will be the Cala del Cuervo in Las Negras or the Cala del Embarcadero in Los Escullos.

The route may be canceled due to inclement weather, in which case the customer will be given the option of taking it at another more favorable time or the full refund of the amount.

Restrictions:

• People with minimal physical condition, with back problems, pregnant women, people with medical problems cannot participate.
• Maximum weight supported by the kayak is 260 kg
• It is essential to know how to swim and to have autonomy to shovel

• Swimwear (or at least that can get wet)
• T-shirt or other garment to wear under the vest.
• Closed sandals, pumps, crabs or flip flops.
• Sun protection (cap, hat, sunglasses and sunscreen).
• Goggles and snorkel tube (if you don't have them, we can borrow them free of charge).
