Excursion to Covadonga Lakes, Cangas de Onís and Lastres

This tour shows you several must-see places in Asturias, taking you from Oviedo to the Covadonga Lakes in a comfortable private transport, with an expert guide and following a fully planned itinerary, but with free time to discover the destinations in your own way. We will leave early in the morning from Oviedo to reach the lakes as soon as possible and enjoy the nature, fauna and flora of the Picos de Europa National Park in all its splendor. On the way, we will drive along the typical curvy roads of the Asturian mountains, which offer spectacular scenery through the window. Once in the park, which you will access without limitation by going with an official excursion, we will go up to the Entrelagos viewpoint to contemplate the Ercina and Enol lakes. Our guide will explain the park and its curiosities, and you will enjoy an hour to explore the area at your leisure. This natural environment is an ideal plan to do with family, as a couple or with friends, especially if you love active tourism and hiking trails. The next stop will be the Basilica of the Virgin of Covadonga, where you will learn about the origin of Don Pelayo and the beginning of the Reconquest. You will have free time at the Sanctuary of Covadonga to see the tomb of King Pelayo and the Cave of the Santina. Afterwards, we will descend by bus to Cangas de Onís, where there will be a brief introduction to an essential town of the Principality, and you will have two hours of free time to enjoy it at your leisure. On the way to Oviedo, we will border the Asturian coast to get unique panoramic views of the beaches of La Espasa, La Isla and La Griega, three must-sees of the Asturian coastline. Afterwards, we will stop at the viewpoint of San Roque to see Lastres, one of the most beautiful villages of the province, from the heights.
