Corralejo Dunes
As we head north along the FV-1 — a road that connects the Majorera capital, Puerto del Rosario, with the tourist town of Corralejo — it is impossible to ignore the entrance to one of the best kept natural treasures in Fuerteventura, Dunes of Corralejo. With a total area of 2,600 hectares, 2.5 kilometers wide and 10 kilometers long, this enormous dune field —considered the largest in the Canary Islands— runs parallel to the northeast coast of the island, in the municipality of La Oliva.
La Concha Beach
La Concha Beach was awarded the Blue Flag in 2010-2011. It is one of the best beaches in Fuerteventura, with very fine white sand and “zero” waves, since it is protected by a natural reef very rich in fish and other marine organisms.

It measures about 220 meters in length, and at its left end it is naturally linked to a series of coves and small beaches called “Los Lagos”, which reach the town of El Cotillo.

There is a large car park 50 meters from the beach, where there is always room, and a restaurant with a terrace on the beach itself, which is the perfect place to eat with sea views.

And a few hundred meters away, on the access road, we find other fast food and fresh fish restaurants.

To get to the beach, we must enter El Cotillo, and in the town, take the duly indicated detour to the right (Los Lagos, Playas, Faro), already approximately 700 meters after leaving the urban center, we turn left and we will reach the beach.
