From the Maspalomas Dunes to Tejeda. An unforgettable journey to learn about the history of our continent in miniature
On this tour we will explore the center and the high mountains of the island and the Maspalomas Dunes. You will enjoy absolutely impressive views throughout the tour, spectacular viewpoints of the interior and charming towns such as Santa Brígida, Fataga or Tejeda, one of the most beautiful town in Spain.
This tour starts in Las Palmas capital and heads south, until we reach the Mirador de las Dunas de Maspalomas, a nature reserve and protected area which will transport you to the Sahara desert. We will continue up the mountains until we stop at the Mirador de las Yeguas, where we can admire the Grand Canyon of the island and Tirajana Volcano of 22 square kilometers. We will stop in Fataga and then head to the summit until we reach the town of Tejeda, one of the most spectacular spots in the Canary Islands, cited by Miguel de Unamuno as “Petrified Tempest”. There you will have free time to take a walk and have lunch (not included in the price), before returning to the city, on the way back we will stop at the town of Santa Brígida, capital of the island in 1599 during the Dutch occupation of Pieter Van der Does.
