Feel like a desert explorer or even Lawrence of Arabia on the back of our camels and enjoy a leisurely ride through the endless fine sand dunes of Maspalomas.
This magical area, which stretches from the beach and the lighthouse of Maspalomas to the beach of Playa del Inglés, has a climate with warm temperatures, averaging around 23 degrees Celsius per year, and very little rainfall. It only rains 10 to 15 days a year, usually in the months of February and November.
The Maspalomas Dunes Nature Reserve is made up of three ecosystems: the Oasis or Palm Grove, the Pond, and the Dunes themselves, which extend a few metres from the sea and constitute a landscape of great beauty and uniqueness that seems to have been taken from another planet.
The 30-minute ride through these desert landscapes of Gran Canaria takes place on the back of our friendly camels. But don't worry, you don't have to straddle them. Our camels have comfortable saddles on each side.
You will feel like you are in the Sahara riding on one of our camels with our Saharawi guides. The camel rides in these dunes have been declared Cultural Heritage of the Region.
