This 7-hour guided tour is designed to share and learn with us, the history and anecdotes of the places we will visit in an enjoyable way. Our guides are specialized professionals trained specifically to interact with our clients and interpret the course of the excursion, turning each trip into a unique and different experience.
We started the route heading north to visit Arucas, a small town famous for its large areas of banana trees and its production of sugar cane, considered “white gold” in past centuries. There we will visit its old town and see its impressive Neo-Gothic Church of San Juan Bautista, which, due to its external appearance, is one of the most emblematic buildings on the island.
Then we will visit Firgas, a charming little town that we popularly defined as the municipality of water due to its 30-meter fountain-waterfall located in one of the streets in the centre.
We will travel to the small northern town of Guide, with its award-winning cheeses in bloom (optional tasting, starting at 3€). On the way to the extreme northwest, we will appreciate the agricultural richness of the area, highlighting the cultivation of bananas, potatoes and vegetables. Our next destination will be Agaete where an explosion of aromas, flavours and colours will flood our senses: fruit trees, coffee plantations, banana plantations, vineyards, and tropical fruits... To experience it, nothing better than a guided visit to the farm La Laja and his Los Berrazales Winery, (the only coffee producers on the island), a wonderful environment where we include the entrance and a tasting of their coffee.
Our last destination will be the Puerto de la Nieves, a fishing town par excellence where we will have free time so you can have lunch (not included in the price) or go for a walk at your leisure. The return to the hotel/Las Palmas will take place at 5:00 p.m. (approx.)
