Next to the Cruise Ship Pier and 200 meters from Las Canteras Beach, in the center of the city of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, the Gran Acuario Poema del Mar opens its doors.
A large Theme Park of the Biodiversity of our Blue Planet with three zones: surface marine ecosystems, deep marine ecosystems and freshwater species.
You will start the tour in the Jungle, which reproduces images of landscapes that cover the entire planet, paying homage to the 5 continents. The second part of Poema del Mar, Arrecife, is a walk around a huge cylinder with a volume of more than 400,000 liters of water, which exhibits a great variety of colors of coral and fish. And the route ends in the deep ocean.
- Each exhibit features more than 350 species from around the globe, some of them for the first time in an aquarium.
- 12,500 m2 built and completely themed, taking the visitor to every remote space on the planet so that they can have the experience of seeing how they live.
- The largest curved window ever made in the world: 140 tons in weight, 36 meters long and 7 meters high.
- More than 2000 original specimens from different places make the jungle shine that accompanies the representation of the space dedicated to rivers and lagoons together with their marine world.
