Embark on a Cruise along the serene waters of the Guadiana River and discover the charming town of Alcoutim, once a haven for smugglers
Our adventure begins with a pick-up at your hotel in Isla Cristina or Isla Canela. We'll cross the Guadiana International Bridge to arrive at Vila Real do Santo António, Portugal. Upon arrival, we begin our route with a quiet and relaxed river tour along the Guadiana River aboard our Arimar boat. A natural border between Portugal and Spain, sailing allows us to enjoy the landscape of its beautiful banks, full of reeds, and water birds, as well as the different coastal towns until we reach Alcoutim, a charming town rich in cultural and historical heritage.
Our ship, a magnificent classic trawler from the 60s, is a true work of naval art, completely restored, with a capacity for 44 passengers and a length of 16 meters. It also features toilets for your comfort.
When you disembark, you'll be greeted by the Statue of the Smuggler, erected in honor of this age-old activity that served as the inspiration for our tour's title. In Alcoutim, you'll have 2.5 hours of free time to explore at your leisure. Discover its interesting heritage, including the Casa Dos Condes, the Chapel of Santo António, and the Medieval Castle. Take a refreshing dip on the riverbeach, cross the river to visit Sanlucar del Guadiana on the Spanish shore, or, for the adventurous, take a thrilling ride on the International Zipline over the Guadiana.
Lunch is included in the price of our tour.
