Departing from Isla Canela Marina aboard our boat, which accommodates up to 12 passengers and our experienced skipper, we embark on a captivating journey. Our initial voyage takes us through the serene marshes and the heart of the estuary, offering a tranquil setting for birdwatching. We then navigate through the charming Canela neighborhood, gaining a fresh perspective on our marine surroundings.
Venturing into the Guadiana River's mouth, we are greeted by the breathtaking panoramas of Ayamonte, Vila Real de Santo António, and the Portuguese coastline. As we ascend the river, we encounter the iconic Guadiana International Bridge, affording a unique vantage point of this landmark connecting two nations. Our return journey follows the Isla Canela coast, completing the loop.
