During the visit to the facilities of the Punta Umbría Fish Market, converted into a fishing interpretation center, you will learn about the daily life of sailors, the different fishing gear and the most common species in the town. Meanwhile, you will be able to see the arrival of the fresh fish, the work at the fish market and you will enjoy the traditional fish auction.

In the same facilities there is the most important scrubbing center for live bivalve mollusks in Andalusia.

We left the fish market facilities to go to the fishing harbor and see the daily movement: boats arriving and docking with fish, the nets fishing masters... an amazing immerse into the daily life of a port.

Maybe the visit will have stimulated your appetite, we offer you an optional rate including a visit to a charm local restaurant to taste products and seafood from our coast paired with a white wine from the County of Huelva.

If the weather was bad the day before, the boats didn't leave so there won't be much movement at the fish market, but the visit is still very interesting. There will also be less movement in the fish market during important biological shutdowns, such as the siege that runs from December to February.
