What the experience includes
Embark on a journey to discover the pivotal moments that shaped Christopher Columbus's quest for the America
.Our guided bus tour delves into the rich history surrounding this groundbreaking voyage.
Our first stop is the La Rabida Monastery, a sanctuary that played a critical role in Columbus's life and his momentous expedition. Between 1486 and 1492, Columbus and his son Diego sought refuge within these walls. Facing financial hardship and rejection from the Portuguese court, they found solace and support from the Franciscan friars. The friars, strong believers in Columbus's vision, became ardent advocates, acting as intermediaries with the Spanish monarchs, Isabella and Ferdinand. With our expert guide, we'll explore this magnificent monastery and uncover the fascinating stories it holds.
Next, we travel to Palos de la Frontera, where the monumental complex of Columbian Places awaits. Declared a Site of Cultural Interest, this complex allows you to step back in time. Climb aboard faithful replicas of the three caravels – La Niña, La Pinta, and La Santa María – that set sail for the "Indies." Explore their decks, cabins, and holds, experiencing these historic vessels firsthand. Our exploration continues at Encuentro Island, a symbolic commemoration of the meeting between two worlds. We'll also visit El Palomar, a captivating recreation of a 15th-century coastal town.
Immerse yourself in the rich tapestry of history and create unforgettable memories at these unique landmarks. This tour is a perfect adventure for families with children
