Experience the coastal and inland beauty of your neighboring island. Explore its rich history and vibrant present
Fuerteventura is the second largest island in the Canary Islands, stretching 150 kilometers. It's impossible to explore the entire island in a day, so we offer a tour of the northern part, reaching as far as Betancuria, a town situated in the center of the island.
Thanks to the tourism industry (we'll see an example in Corralejo), the island is becoming increasingly well-known in Europe, initially for its beaches but also for its interior and protected areas. It's worth noting that it has been declared a Biosphere Reserve.
During our guided tour, we'll introduce you to its history of survival, customs, way of life, and future prospects. Fuerteventura is often associated solely with beach destinations, but the island boasts rugged, desert-like interior landscapes accessible via endless roads, offering a unique beauty. We'll experience these contrasts by visiting an aloe vera plantation in La Oliva, the charming town of Betancuria and its viewpoints, the Valle de Santa Inés, a small inland village, and the spectacular Corralejo Dunes Natural Park.
The interior of the island, neglected for so long, is gradually awakening, embracing rural tourism, aloe vera cultivation, tomatoes, and the recent introduction of extra virgin olive oil production. It will be a long but rewarding day, and who knows, perhaps Fuerteventura will become your island of choice for your next vacation in the Canary Islands
