Description
Respect for nature and the preservation of species is the new concept and model that BIOPARC is carrying out and which is a benchmark at European level.
Through tropical forests, the park's design is enhanced with its architectural design called zoo-immersion, allowing the visitor to experience being in the animal's habitat.
Considered a new format for 21st century animal parks with the objectives of awareness, conservation and animal welfare.
Today, 200 different species live together at the zoo in recreations of their natural habitat that favors their development and care, 40 of them are in danger of extinction.
Some of the animals in BIOPARC are the Komodo dragon, Edward's pheasant, the black lemur or the Bornean orangutan. The western gorilla of the plain stands out, with its birth at Bioparc in 2019.
