There are three water parks in Málaga where you can enjoy slides and attractions in the most refreshing way. Platforms in the sea are also installed on the beaches for summer.
Aqualand Torremolinos
The aquatic attractions in this park are divided into four large areas. Adrenaline Fun has been designed for the bravest, with slides and rides that will give you vertigo. In Boomerang you will experience a drop of 15 metres, while on a float in a large half-pipe. One of the star attractions of this park is Anaconda: a 20-metre course whose main ingredients are speed, adrenaline and water. The last attraction to open was a multi-coloured slide with several lanes so that you can race your friends. Lovers of extreme speed should go directly to Kamikaze, not suitable for those who are afraid of heights.
The children’s area, Kidsworld, has three zones where children can enjoy slides, attractions and suspension bridges. Children’s Paradise has a team of lifeguards on high alert. The family area boasts a wave pool producing waves that are higher than one metre and has a chill-out area with a bubble pool and jacuzzi.
At lunchtime, choose between stands serving hot-dogs, sandwiches or hamburgers, or La Palapa restaurant, offering both buffet and à-la-carte service.
Aquavelis Water Park
The star attraction of this water park is Kamikaze, with a fall that drops you more than 80 metres at full speed. But the most original attraction on offer is the Virtual Reality Arcade: VRFun.
This park offers all kinds of water slides suitable for all ages. It boasts one of the most impressive soft slides on Costa del Sol and has multi-lane slides where you can race your friends. Don’t miss the covered slides—you won’t know where they end until you get there. And get yourself a water donut!
This park has a large area for children to play in. It also has a wave pool and exclusive attractions for the youngest members of the family, such as the mini zone for children aged under 8 and the recently installed AquaSplash for adventurers aged up to 10.
Aquavelis has an area to enjoy the sun without getting wet, such as the VRFun Park, a Virtual Reality gaming area where you can fight against drones and zombies. Unlike the water park, which is only open in summer, this attraction is open all year round and offers two types of experiences.
The blue experiences are individual games where you can drive a racing car, swim along the ocean floor or fly in an aerobatic plane, among other adventures, whereas the red experiences are multiplayer attractions which you can enjoy as a group. You can fight against a robot army or a zombie invasion. You can even compete against your friends in a virtual paintball.
You can spend the whole day in this park, and recover your energy with a hamburger, chicken wings or a pizza, and then have a well-deserved mojito or ice-cream at the Oasis Restaurant Lounge. To finish off the day and comfortably wind down, rent a sun lounger or a changing room with showers and lockers.
Aquamijas (Las Lagunas – Mijas)
This park is located in Mijas and has been thought of for children. In addition, every afternoon from June to September, you can enjoy the fantastic show in the lake area.
The quieter ones will enjoy the more relaxed pools such as the blue lake, the wave pool or the jacuzzi. The facilities and the setting in the children’s area, such as the Isla Lagartos and the Diverdragón, have been designed for children. The attractions in this area require a minimum height of 1.15 m.
The most daring can adventure to the steepest slope in Kamikaze or the rapids in Río Bravo or Río Aventura and enjoy themselves in the Slide Labyrinth.
Services the park offers include a cloakroom, safety deposit boxes, showers, rental of floats and sun loungers, and picnic areas with shade. The park’s facilities also include a bar, kiosk and self-service restaurant with two menus: Ypanqui or the Mediterranean special of the day.
Costa Water Park (coasts of Benalmádena, Fuengirola, Mijas Costa, San Pedro de Alcántara and Marbella)
For adventure lovers who refuse to give up a day at the beach, platforms are installed in the sea along the coasts of Málaga during the summer.
These structures include giant slides or balancing games on surfboards, as well as a balance bridge, where you can challenge your friends. You can buy a one-hour or a full-day ticket, which you can use to come and go and do the entire sea circuit. All participants must wear life jackets and children under six must be accompanied by an adult.
