Birthplace of two Roman Emperors: Trajan and Hadrian and last great set of the Game of Thrones series in Spain
No wonder the series producer chose Itálica, the first Roman city in Spain, to shoot the series that hooks millions of people around the world. It was founded in 206 BC by the Roman general Scipio the African and birthplace of two emperors: Trajan and Hadrian, which gives us an idea of the importance of the city.
Currently called Itálica Archaeological Site, visitors can enjoy walking through the ancient streets today and exploring the ruins of houses and public buildings with their mosaic floors, Roman baths, sculptures of Diana, Venus, and Trajan, the Roman theater and a spectacular amphitheater with a capacity for 25,000 people, making it the third largest in the Roman Empire. Thanks to the fact that none of the following civilizations settled on the ruins of Itálica, it is a fairly well-preserved city worth visiting.
After this experience in Itálica, we will take a panoramic tour of the city of Seville by bus, where you can see the most emblematic monuments of the city: the Triana Bridge, Betis Street, the Bullring and the Torre del Oro, before returning to the hotel.
