History and Culture of wine. Requena is located in the westernmost part of the Province of Valencia, about an hour from the capital. Requena was born in the Iberian era. He grew up with the Romans and it was with the Arabs when he acquired his current nomination with the name "Rakana", "the strong one". Later with the Christians it was called Requena. It is one of the largest cities in the province of Valencia. With an extensive area dedicated to the cultivation of the vine and with a wine "Denomination of Origin".
