Barcelona

A pyromusical show at Plaza de Espanya to bid the year 2016 farewell. However, before that, the Barceló Raval hotel will host a unique dinner with a New Year’s Eve menu that includes several tapas, such as Jabugo ham D.O., goat cheese bonbon with poppy seeds or shots of shellfish cream with Pernod. As first course, shellfish timbale with a bouquet of frisse and caviar, followed by a pause marked by a Gin Tonic sorbet, and finished by ox sirloin with caramel foie, potatoes au gratin and périgueux sauce. What is there for drinking? Your choice from the best Catalonia sparkling wines.

Malaga

If you are thinking about visiting the south of Spain to welcome the year 2017, Barceló Malaga has prepared a New Year’s Eve menu with hints of the north of Spain featuring starters that range from pheasant nests to Atlantic scallops and lobster with orange emulsion. What is the main course? A delicious sole meunière with edamame to die for and ox sirloin with chanterelles.

Palma de Mallorca

If you are looking to get away from the cold of the Peninsula, you can spend New Year’s Eve celebrating in Palma de Mallorca at the Barceló Illetas Albatros hotel. To begin with, you will taste an appetizer at the Illetas Bar before the formal dinner at the Marivent hall, where the New Year’s Eve menu features a brick of goose turron with a side of pumpkin and ginger, lobster with sauté stew and smoked octopus and a veil sirloin with bacon and potatoes millefeuille. A mojito sorbet and a dessert of Ferrero with crème brûlée will complete the menu.

Bilbao

Barceló Bilbao Nervión has prepared a New Year’s Eve party for 2016 with a formal dinner that mixes tradition with nouvelle flavours and textures; a gastronomic festival that includes scallops marinated with Thai curry, monkfish bouillabaisse and wagyu sirloin, among other delicious dishes. For the more classical palates, you will finish the night with a wonderful garlic soup. Happy New Year 2017!
