Following Emitaz…

With more than 600,000 Instagram followers, Emelie Natascha (aka Emitaz) is a social media celebrity. Half Swedish—from Gothenburg—and half Indian—her mother is from Sri Lanka—, she also has Mediterranean roots because her partner (and photographer) is from Barcelona, where they met in 2012. If there is one thing that this person who launched her blog at the tender age of 16 is passionate about, it's traveling. The list also includes yoga, the sea, books, food, taekwondo, painting, photography, and of course, Punta Cana, one of her favorite destinations.

“My favorite thing to do, without a doubt, is to travel. I love meeting people from all over the world. I also enjoy food and culture. And if there is also a great beach, then that's an added perk,” states the influencer. 

Searching for a paradise with fine sand and crystal-clear water, Emitaz made her way to the Hotel Bávaro Grand Resort, a five-star establishment in the Dominican Republic, surrounded by beaches, nature and tranquility. “What struck me the most about the hotel is the beach. It is absolutely incredible and one of the best I have seen in my life.” During her stay at one of the most spectacular Caribbean resorts, she went on a boat ride and also enjoyed a private room where she was served a breakfast that was in line with the hotel's number of stars. 

Athletic and active, Emitaz made the most of her time in Punta Cana. Between day trips and gourmet treats (chocolate crepes, burritos, romantic dinners by the marina and more), she also hit the basketball courts for a few free throws, went swimming, tried paddle boarding, did yoga and relaxed before discovering something that would hypnotize her: “We went to Saona Island. Simply gazing at our surroundings was breathtaking... The day we spent on this island was one of our best travel adventures ever.”
